When an image resonates with so many different meanings!

“An old man in Gaza held a placard that read: “You take my water, burn my olive trees, destroy my house, take my job, steal my land, imprison my father, kill my mother, bombard my country, starve us all, humiliate us all, but I am to blame!” Noam Chomsky, Because We Say So

In the entrancing post-colonial world, where the United States’ hegemony serves as a formidable barrier against freedom and self-determination for the so-called ‘third world countries,’ the PALESTINIAN cause against the apartheid state still stands as the last decolonization discourse. In this article, I am willing to meticulously dissect and immerse myself in the multifaceted intricacies of this topic, unraveling its layers with an analytical lens that seeks to unearth profound insights.

No other way to see it!
It is a silent battleground where narratives are being crafted, ideologies shaped; the Western world was always known for its propaganda that wields a powerful influence over the global psyche, and it has actually become an intricate web that shapes our realities in ways often unnoticed. People’s perceptions and comprehensions of the world are significantly influenced by the media, therefore it’s normal for the media to delude individuals by spreading inaccurate or biased information. Through the lens of Edward Said’s Orientalism, we can vividly see how the West has historically portrayed the East through a lens that can be inaccurate and superficial, and also how they guide the people in the West to perceive and interact with Eastern cultures, and that’s exactly what’s happening right now in Middle east, especially when you see how brainwashed people are about Hamas and the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, Although I hate using the term ‘Conflict’ because it is not, it is a genocide, an ethnic cleansing.

‘’Hamas is a terrorist organization’’
According to who? Well, Israel itself and its allies.
Let’s take a moment here, imagine a world where there’s no Hamas, a world where Israel destroyed it and killed all its members. Obviously, a new resistance movement will emerge under the name ‘X’ to fight for the Palestinians. but the million-dollar question is whether you think Israel and its allies would designate ‘X’ as a terrorist organization or not?
Of course, they will.

Because it’s not about Hamas, it’s about abolishing the idea of Palestinians having a resistance movement, about eliminating any spark of revolution, or any kind of hope. I think the greatest trick Israel has ever pulled was convincing the world that any resistance against them is a work of “Islamist extremists” who share the same ideology with ISIS and all Islamic Extremist Groups. Well, from Issa El-Issa, George Habash to Shireen Abu Akleh, Christians played a vital role in the resistance movement against Israeli occupation. Therefore, anyone who deems the Palestinian resistance as a manifestation of terrorism rooted in Islam is overlooking the rich historical context to that resistance. The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) had nothing to do with Islam, it was a secular and revolutionary socialist organization that was founded in 1967 by a Christian politician, The organization gained recognition for being at the forefront of armed aircraft hijackings during the late 1960s and early 1970s, prompting the United States, Japan, Canada, and the European Union to designate it as a terrorist organization.

’Why not Peacefully’’
Like nonviolent resistance would actually work against the apartheid regime, people literally get imprisoned multiple times without any charges in the West Bank (where there is NO HAMAS), Perhaps the most important thing that Karl Marx brought to the entire history of philosophy was his assertion that the world does not change through ideas, but through actual work. and the necessity of armed resistance against occupation often arises when nonviolent means have proven ineffective in achieving the goals of a suppressed population, especially when Palestinians in Gaza see what’s happening to their people in West Bank; finding themselves with no alternative but to take up arms to protect their fundamental rights, preserve their cultural identity.

“Part of the tragedy of the Palestinians is that they have essentially no international support for a good reason. They don’t have wealth, they don’t have power, so they don’t have rights. That’s the way the world work’’ Noam Chomsky

‘It is indeed a sick world’’
The global landscape is marred by double standards, especially when you see the harsh reality about human rights that we thought it’s ostensibly universal and inalienable, but sadly it appears to be contingent upon one’s position in the world hierarchy. and just like the great Noam Chomsky said, that’s one of the tragedies that’s sweeping the world.
Despite the Western propaganda Hamas stands as a resolute resistance movement against occupation, a beacon of defiance that’s rooted in anti-imperialist ideals.
